IS THERE AN ELECTION DAY HOLIDAY SECTION IN THIS ACT?

Under SB 202, voting days in Georgia, as in the rest of the USA are not seen as a holiday.

Although not a change (merely continuing the status quo) election / referendum voting days not being designated as a holiday disproportionality discourages people in shift work or low wages from voting.

IS THERE AN ELECTION DAY HOLIDAY SECTION IN THIS ACT?

Chapter 1. Article 6 under the Election Code of Georgia - announces in law that the day of Georgia’s election / referendum is a national holiday.

Ensuring voting day is a designated national holiday encourages all people to vote.
